associative property of multiplication

LHS. RHS

(13×7)×5= 13×(7×5)
98×5 = 13×35
490 = 490
LHS = RHS

associative property of addition

LHS RHS
(13+7)+5 13+(7+5)
20+5 13+12
25. = 25
LHS = RHS

Answer:

 \huge \bf \red {Question}

Verify associative property of multiplication as well as addition for the numbers 13,7 and 5.

 \huge \bf \red {Answer}

Associative property of multiplication

a X (b X c) = (a X b) X c.

[ Let a = 13, b = 7 and c = 5]

So a X (b X c) = 13 X (7 X 5) = 13 X 35 = 455

And (a X b) X c = (13 X 7) X 5 = 91 X 5 = 455

So a X (b X c) = (a X b) X c

Associative property of addition

a + (b + c) = (a + b) + c

So a + (b + c) = 13 + (7 + 5) = 13 + 12 = 25

And (a + b) + c = (13 + 7) + 5 = 20 + 5 = 25

So a + (b + c) = (a + b) + c

Hope it helps!!
