=> let rahul's present age be 3x years and rajiv's present age be 4x years.

Five years later ages will be ( 3x + 5 ) years and ( 4x + 5 ) years respectively.

Now the new ratio of their ages will is 4 : 5 thus, qe have

$= > \frac{3x + 5}{4x + 5} = \frac{4}{5} \\ cross \: multiplying \\ = > 15x + 25 = 16x + 20 \\ = > 15 x + 16x \ = 20 - 25 \\ = > - x= - 5 \\ = > x = 5 \\ = > hence \: rahuls \: age \: = 3 \times 5 = 15years \\ = > rajives \: age \: = 4 \times 5 = 20years$
