Ques: Two adjacent sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio 2:3 and its perimeter is 50cm. Find the sides of a parallelogram.

Solution: Let the adjacent be 2x and 3x.

Therefore, the two other sides are also 2x and 3x

Kind information {opposite sides of a llgm are equal.}

The perimter of parallelogram is= 2(length+breadth)

solve,2 {2x +3x}=50
2{5x}=50
10x=50
by cutting or dividing
you will get the answer x=5

So,the first side:2x= 2*5=10
and the second side:3x=3*5=15

Hence,the sides AB,AD,DC,CBare 10cm,15cm,10cm,15cm respectively.

Hope this answer may help you all.
