Ans:- The sudden involuntary and immediate action in response to a stimuly is known reflex action. The path followed by this action is known as reflex arc.

REFLEX ACTION :-

Action on which body responses which are instant and controlled by spinal cord is called reflex action. For example - Batting of eyelid, contraction of pupil when exposed to light.

REFLEX ARC :-

The pathway overweight impulse travel to produce a reflex action consisting of at least one afferent and one overweight impulse travel to produce a reflex action consisting of at least one afferent (receptor) and one efferent (effector) neuron.
