Percentages:

 A percent Is a fraction with denominator 100. i.e 1/100

Per cent is derived from Latin word ‘per centum’ meaning ‘per hundred’.

It is denoted by % symbol
1% means 1/100= .01

Solution:

The salary after increment(new salary)  will be the sum of original salary and  % increase in the salary.

Let the original salary is x

A.T.Q

x + 10% of x = New salary= 154000

x+ 10x/100=154000

(10x +x) / 10= 154000

11x/10=154000

11x = 1540000

x=1540000/11

X= ₹140000.

Hence, his original salary be ₹ 140000.

Answer:

answer to this question is - ₹ 1,40,000

Step-by-step explanation:

let his original salary be ₹ 100 , then

if 10 % increase in his salary , then :-

10% of 100

10/100 × 100

=10

increased salary = 100 + 10

= 110

if new salary is ₹ 110 , then original salary = 100

if new salary is ₹1 , then original salary = 100/110

if new salary is ₹1,54,000 , then original salary =

100/110 × 1,54,000

= 1,40,000

I hope this will help you
