My cat and my dog loved to play with each other and one day, my dog died.
My cat was running around the house looking for them but they could not find them. Then my cat got very sad and would not eat for almost a week. Eventually she began eating again but losing her friend made her very sad.
Animals do feel love and experience the pain of separation.
