1) He thought that the grandmom wanted a son, and was surprised as she did not want a son.

2) Santosh lived her life in  her own way. She did not support traditional life and did nothing that she finds unreasonable. While others were in traditional attires, she preferred shorts.

3) She was sent to a local school due to the prevailing custom. Her parents could bear the costs yet she could not go to some best schools.

4) Santosh wanted proper education which was denied by their parents. Thus she left home to Delhi

5) Santosh said that she would be looking for part time job to pay her school fees, and thus they agreed. This shows that she was a determined and a hard working girl.
