6) Diffusion is the movement of molecules for higher concentration to lower concentration whereas in OSMOSIS is the movement of Water molecules from lower concentration to higher concentration across a SEMI PERMIABLE membrane... hope this helps u out


archii25: Plasmolysis is when a living plant loses water through osmosis, there is shrinkage or contraction of the protoplasm away from the cell wall. This phenomenon is called PLASMOLYSIS. The plants posses a rigid cell wall and therefore when the cell loses water the plasma membrane shrinks and moves away from the cell wall.
