Today, is the first day of my visit to Kathmandu, I have come to visit the famous Hindu temple of Pashupatinath with my friend, Vikram Seth. It is a very beautiful holy place.

• At the temple there is an atmosphere of great confusion on the grounds. The priests, hawkers, devotees, tourists, cows, monkeys, pigeons and dogs are roaming through the grounds of the temple.

• The temple is crowded with large number of worshippers all are rushing to worship the deity. People elbow each other to enter the front.

• Inside the temple, we worship and offer flowers to the deity.

•On the Outside of the temple, there was a signboard written that ‘ Entrance for Hindus only’. Only Hindu were allowed to enter the temple.

• I think ,the temple is overcrowded and noisy, like the most holy places in India. There is no calm and stillNess.
