Given :  Out of three students, the first age is 25% less than the second one and 50% less than the third one respectively,

the average age of the three students is 102,

To Find : the age of the second one is

Solution:

Age of  second one  =  4x

Age of first one = 4x - (25/100)4x = 3x

Age of first one = Age of 3rd one - (50/100) Age of 3rd one

=> 3x =  Age of 3rd one /2

=> Age of 3rd one = 6x

3x , 4x  and 6x  are the ages

Sum = 13x

Average = 13x/3

13x/3 = 102

=> x = 306/13

=> 4x = 4 * 306/13

=> 4x ≈ 94.15

Age of  the second one   94.15 years
