1.Humans have always migrated in groups and as individuals to seek freedom from war and conflict, to escape hunger and poverty, to find new economic opportunities and employment, to flee from religious intolerance or political repression, or even to trade and to travel to new places.

2.Geography influences the way we look, the food we eat and the clothes we wear.Following are some examples of diversity which resulted because of difference in geographical features. Jammu and Kashmir is a cold place because of its proximity to the Himalayas.

3.The main reason for low level of income of the majority of Indian people is unemployment and underemployment and the consequent low productivity of labour. Low labour productivity implies low rate of economic growth which is the main cause of poverty and inequality of the large masses of people.

4.The "business case for diversity" stems from the progression of the models of diversity within the workplace since the 1960s.

5.Difference among people on the basis of religion, language, eating habits, etc. is called diversity. A person may follow a particular religion, while another person may follow another religion. Different people speak different languages.
