let base be x metre then attitude will be 7+x metre

Area of triangle =1/2×base×height

so, 165=1/2×x×(x+7)

165×2=x^2+7x

330=x^2+7x

0=x^2+7x-330

0=x^2+22x-15x-330

0=x(x+22)-12(x+22)

0=(x-12)(x+22)

x-12=0 OR x+22=0

x=12 OR x=-22

Measurements cannot be negative so, x=12

x+7=12+7=19

Thus , base is 12m and altitude is 19cm.
