Hi
Here is your answer,
CCl₄ will not give a white ppt of AgCl with AgNO₃ solution because CCl₄ is a covalent compound. It does not ionize to give Cl⁻ ions required for the formation of AgCl precipitate.

CCl4 won't give white precipitate of AgCl on heating it with silver nitrate . As you know ,
CCl4 is a covalent compound and a covalent compound can't break into ionic species .
so,CCl4 can't give Cl- for making AgCl {Ag+ and Cl- ions } .
e.g., CCl4 + AgNO3 ----X---> no reaction
