Answer


The sequential events taking place in the heart which is the contraction or systole and relaxation or diastole of both the atria and ventricles is called cardiac cycle.

The volume of blood pumped out by the ventricles in one minute is called the cardiac output.

The complete sequence of events in the heart from the beginning of one beat to the beginning of the following beat: a complete hertbeat including systole and diastole .

The amount of blood put out by the left ventricle of the heart in one Contraction is called the stroke volume. the stroke volume and the heart rate determine the cardiac output .a normal adult has a cardiac output of 4.7 liters (5 quarts) of blood per minute.
