Hey there,
As we know there are two types of fertilization :-
(1) Internal fertilization
(2) External fertilization
So let's talk about external fertilization.
→ External fertilization is a process in which fertilization takes place outside the mother's worm.
For example :- Frog , Fishes ,etc
→ External fertilization takes place in water bodies.
→ Parents lays eggs and development and fertilization of it takes place in water bodies.
Disadvantages :-
→ No security of living of eggs produced.
→ Less possiblity of fertilization.
→ Bigger fishes too produce hurdles for eggs and sperm, maybe eat them in the way.
→ No protection of young ones.
