concept : if (±a, 0) are the ends of major axis and ( 0, ±b) are the ends of minor axis then,
equation of ellipse will be of the form
x²/a² + y²/b² = 1

Here,
ends of major axis ( ±3 , 0) = (±a, 0)
hence, a = 3
ends of minor axis ( 0, ±2 ) = ( 0, ± b)
hence, b = 2

now, equation of ellipse is
x²/a² + y²/b² = 1
put the values of a² = 9 { ∵ a = 3} and b² = 4 { ∵b= 2 }.
x²/9 + y²/4 = 1
