Dear Student,

◆ Electric bulb is filled with argon/nitrogen because -

  • Electric bulb contains tungsten filament which gets heated up when we light the bulb.
  • If air is used in bulb, filament will burn on reaction with oxygen.
  • Hence, electric bulb is filled with non-reactive gases mostly argon/nitrogen.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
