Concept :- at point (x1, y1) , if S1 > 0 then point lies outside . If S1=0 then point lies on the circle, and if S1 < 0 then point lies inside the circle.

Given,
equation of circle is x² + y² = 25
Let S = x² + y² - 25

Here, point = (-2.5 , 3.5) put it in S
=> S = (-2.5)² + (3.5)² - 25
= 6.25 + 12.25 -25
= 18.50 - 25
= -6.50 < 0
Hence , S < 0
So, the point (-2.5, 3.5) lies inside the circle.
