Given that,

If a ray of light takes t₁ and t₂ times in two media of absolute refractive indices u₁ and u₂ respectively.

We know that,

When a light ray travel one medium to another medium then the direction of light is change it is called refraction.

This phenomena can be explained by the snell's law.

The snell's law is,

u_{1}\sin i=u_{2}\sin r

Where, u₁ and u₂ shows the refractive indices.

Hence, This is required answer.
