I am taking alpha=a and beta=b bez i dont hv these symbols.

sum of roots(a+b)=(-4/2k)...eqn 1
product of roots(ab)=4/k
squaring eqn 1:

a^2+b^2+2ab=4/k^2
24+2*4/k=4/k^2

solve and get k.
