Correct Question

In a family of 6 (P, Q, R, S, T, and U) members, there is one married couple with an equal number of male and female members.

Read the following relations and find out the one from the alternatives, is not true for the given family Relations:

P and T are sons of U.

S is the mother of a boy and a girl

Q is the son of P

Alternatives-

(1) P, T, and Q are males

(2) R is the granddaughter of U

(3) R is the daughter of T

(4) S is the wife of P

Alternative (3) is not true.

Here we can see that P, T, and Q are males as they are referred to as sons.

Therefore Alternative (1) is true.

Q's father is P, and P's parent is U. Hence, U is the grandparent.

Since there is only one couple and S is a mother of a boy and a girl,

R is the daughter of P and S.

Hence R is the granddaughter of U

and,

S is the wife of P.

Hence, Alternatives (2) and (4) are correct.

Since it is already mentioned S is the mother of both a son and a daughter, and P is the father of Q, T cannot have any child.

Hence, Alternative (3) is incorrect.
