If they do work alternatively. They will take 146 days.

Explanation:

Suppose, they work alternatively (one by one), also given in question.

Man 1 does 1 work in 120 days. Man 2 does 1 work in 230 days. Man 3 does 1 work in 125 days.

So,

               ⇒ In 1 day, Man 1  = \frac{1}{120}

                ⇒ In 1 day, Man 2  = \frac{1}{230}

                 ⇒ In 1 day, Man 3  = \frac{1}{125}

So, alternative way, in 3 days, work done is

         ⇒ in 3 days =   (\frac{1}{120} +\frac{1}{230} +\frac{1}{125}

 ⇒  (\frac{1}{120} +\frac{1}{230} +\frac{1}{125}) x \frac{x}{3} = 1

where, 'x' is the no. of days require to complete the work when they do work alternatively divided by 3.

Hence ,

              ⇒ x = 145.06

So, total 146 days are required.
