We know that speed of light = 3 x 10^8 m/s
=>Distance between the quasar and earth
= [3 x 10^8] x [3 x 10^9 x 365 x 24 x 3600]
= 283824 x 10^20 m
= 2.8 x 10^22 km
This is equal to 3 x 10^9 years
