Perimeter of rectangle -

2(lenght + breadth)

a) 2(8+5)

= 2×13

=26 cm

b) 2(16+14)

= 2×30

=60 m.

c) 2(7 + 2.5)

= 2(7+2.5) mm

=2 × 9.5

= 19 mm.

d) 2(6.46 cm + 36 m)

[ since 10mm = 1cm]

= 2(64.6+36)

= 2× 100.6

= 201.2 mm

e) 2(1.5 m+ 70cm)

[since 100cm=1m]

= 2(150 + 70) cm

=2×220

= 440cm

f) 2(12.1+3.2)

= 2×15.3

= 30.6 km.

Thus, perimeter of

a-26cm, b-60m, c-19mm, d-201.2mm, e-440cm and

f-30.6 km.

we can solve these questions by using a formula

Formula :- perimeter of rectangle = 2 (length + breadth)

a) given that,

length of a rectangle = 8 cm

breadth of a rectangle = 5 cm

then,

perimeter = 2 (8 + 5) cm

= 2 × 13 cm

= 26 cm answer

b) given that,

length of a rectangle = 16 m

breadth of a rectangle = 14 m

then,

perimeter = 2 (16 + 14) m

= 2 × 30 m

= 60 m answer

c) given that,

length of a rectangle = 7 mm

breadth of a rectangle = 2.5 mm

then,

perimeter = 2 (7 + 2.5) mm

= 2 × 9.5 mm

= 19 mm answer

d) given that,

length of a rectangle = 6.46 cm = 64.6 mm

breadth of a rectangle = 36 mm

then,

perimeter = 2 (64.6 + 36) mm

= 2 × 100.6 mm

= 201.2 mm answer

e) given that,

length of a rectangle = 1.5 m = (1.5 × 100) = 150 cm

breadth of a rectangle = 70 cm

then,

perimeter = 2 (150 + 70) cm

= 2 × 220 cm

= 440 cm answer

f) given that,

length of a rectangle = 12.1 km

breadth of a rectangle = 3.2 km

then,

perimeter = 2 (12.1 + 3.2) km

= 2 × 15.3 km

= 30.6 km answer
