AP = PB

⇒ AP² = PB²

⇒ (3 – 0)² + (k – 2)² = (k – 0)² + (5 – 2)²   

⇒ 9 + \sf \cancel{k^{2}} – 4k + 4 = \sf \cancel{k^{2}} + 9

⇒ – 4k + 4 = 0

⇒ 4k = 4

⇒ k = \dfrac{4}{4} ⇒ \bf{k=1}
