i) The tectonic plates are rock plates floating on magma in mantle.

ii) Australia, south America, Antarctica, India, south africa, Arabia etc. were the part of Godwana land.

iii) Bhabhar is one of the latitudnal divison of northern plain which lies after terai and before khadar. This lies over flood plain and has kankar within it.

iv) The three major division of Himalayas are:

( a) Himadri
(b) Himachal
(c) Shiwaliks.

v) Malwa pleatue.

vi) Lakshadweep.

i)
Tectonic plates are massive irregularly shaped slab of solid rock, generally composed of both Continental and oceanic lithosphere.
They move due to conventional current below The crust. This results in stress between the plates forming the following features.

a) Folding b) faulting c)volcanic activity.

ii)
In the ancient period. India was a part of the supercontinent called Gondwana land. This land mass included South America Africa, Australia and Antarctica. It was located in the southern hemisphere. The northern land mass was Angara land.Tethys sea separated these two land masses.

iii)
Bhabhar is a long narrow plane around the foothills. It is Pebble studded zone (8- 16km wide). Rivers are lost in this region.

iv)
The Himalayas have been uplifted by different mountain building movements. There are many parallel mountain ranges in the Himalayas. This is Angel are separated from each other by longitudinal Valley is called 'Duns'. According to height that different ranges are:

a) The great Himalayas or inner Himalayas( Himadri)
b) The lesser Himalayas or middle Himalayas(Himachal)
c) The shiwaliks or outer Himalayas.

Karakoram ranges and Ladakh ranges are Trans Himalayan ranges running parallel to one another.
Zanskar ranges from the greater Himalayas. The lesser Himalayas in the form of Pir Panjal ranges and Dhauladhar ranges belong to middle Himalayas. The southernmost ranges of the Himalayas are known as the Shiwalik ranges.

v) Malwa plateau lies between Aravali and Vindhyan ranges.

vi) The island group of India having Coral islands in Lakshadweep.
