Algebraic expressions:

A combination of constants and variables connected by any or all of the four fundamental operations +, -,×,÷ is called an algebraic expression.

Monomials:

A monomial is a one term algebraic expression .

Binomials:

Binomial is a two term algebraic expression.

Trinomials:

Trinomial is a 3 term algebraic expression.

Polynomials:

An algebraic expression containing one or more terms with non zero Coefficient is called a polynomial.

Solution:

x + y: Binomial

1000: Monomial

7 + y + 5x: Binomial

2y – 3y²: Binomial

2y – 3y² + 4y³: Trinomial

5x – 4y + 3xy: Trinomial

4z – 15z²: Binomial

pqr: Monomial

p2q + pq²: Binomial

2p + 2q: Binomial

Polynomial  x + x² + x³ + x⁴ & ab + bc + cd + da  do not fit any of these categories
