Answer:

We know,

According to the pythagoras theorem,

(Base)^2+(perpendicular)^2=(Hypotenuse)^2

(8)^2+(6)^2= (hyp)^2

64+36=(hyp)^2

100=(hyp)^2

Therefore, hyp= 10 cm

★ Given:-

  • Base = 8 cm
  • Perpendicular = 6 cm

★ To Find:-

  • Hypotenuse

★ Calculations:-

Applying Pythagoras theorem:

  • → (Hyotenuse)² = (Base)² + (Perpendicular)²
  • → (Hypotenuse)² =  (8 cm)² + (6 cm)²
  • → (Hypotenuse)² = 64 + 36
  • → (Hypotenuse)² = 100 cm
  • → Hypotenuse = √100 cm
  • → Hypotenuse = 10cm

. ° . Hypotenuse is 10 cm.
