(i) For stitching the lace on the edges of dupatta we require the perimeter of the dupatta.

(ii) For putting the black soil in hockey ground we require the area of the ground.

(iii) For filling the ceiling of room we require the area of the room.

(iv) For fencing around the farm we require the perimeter of the farm.

Perimeter is required only when we need to do something around the item such as ground, farm, dupatta etc.

Area is required when we need to fill or cover an item such as farm, hockey field etc with something like black soil, plaster etc.
