Question (2): Prove that 3 + V5 is an irrational number.
(Hint): The sum of rational and irrational numbers is irrational.​

Answer:

Let 3+√5= p/q, where p and q are co primes. ... Can't be a rational no. So our assumption is wrong. Hence 3+√5 is irrational.
