The ratio of the number of \sf gi rls to the number of boys is 2 : 3

Given :

There are 30 boys and 20 \sf gi rls in a class

To find :

The ratio of the number of \sf gi rls to the number of boys

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Write down the number of \sf gi rls and number of boys

It is given that there are 30 boys and 20 \sf gi rls in a class

The number of \sf gi rls in the class = 20

The number of boys in the class = 30

Step 2 of 2 :

Find the ratio

We have to find the ratio of the number of \sf gi rls to the number of boys

Hence the required ratio

= 20 : 30

\displaystyle \sf{  =  \frac{20}{30}  }

\displaystyle \sf{  =  \frac{2 \times 10}{3 \times 10}  }

\displaystyle \sf{  =  \frac{2 }{3 }  }

 \sf = 2 : 3

The ratio of the number of \sf gi rls to the number of boys is 2 : 3
