Since Zebra and lion invested the same amount let the investment be = i

Let the rate of interest be = r%

Zebra invested an amount for six months which means he will get an interest for 6 months this year so his interest will be = i x r% x 6/12

Lion invested an amount for six months which means he will get an interest for 7 months this year so his interest will be = i x r% x 7/12

So their share of profits can be

(i x r% x 6/12) : (i x r% x 7/12)

We can remove the common items, so the profit sharing will be

= 6:7
