Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:-

Total number of pens =144

Number of defective pens=20

Number of good pens=144-20=124

If nuri will buy a good pen,

The probability of getting a good pen

P(E)=Total number of favourable outcomes/Total number of possible outcomes

=>P(E)=124/144

=>P(E)=31/36

Probability of she will buy it=31/36

We know that P(E)=P(not E)=1

P(Buy)+P(not buy)=1

P(not buy)=1-P(buy)

=>P(not buy)=1-(31/36)

=>P(not buy)=(36-31)/36

=>P(not buy)=5/36

Probability of not buy it=5/36
