Here, sequences are a, ar, ar², ar³........arⁿ⁻¹_____(1)

A ,AR, AR², AR³,......ARⁿ⁻¹______(2)
Now, multiply corresponding terms of eqns (1) and (2) .
aA,ar.AR,ar^2.AR^2,ar^3.AR^3.....ar^{n-1}.AR^{n-1}

Now,
Common-ratio = \frac{arAR}{aA}=rR
