\mathfrak{\green{ANSWER:}}

let the length of the shortest side be :- X

so, the longest side is =3 times the shortest side
= 3 x

and length of the third side=(3x-2)cm

NOW:-

Perimeter = Sum of three sides
=X + 3X + (3X-2)
=X + 3X +3X-2
=7X-2

Given that,

Perimeter of the triangle is atleast 61 cm,

I.e,
perimeter \geqslant 61

7x - 2 \geqslant 61
7x \geqslant 61 + 2
7x \geqslant 63
x = 63\div 7
x \geqslant 9
Minimum value of X is 9.....

Let the shorter side = xcm

Longest = 3 x cm

Third side = 3x - 3 cm

Now,

According to question

x + 3x + 3x - 2 \geqslant 61 \\ = 7x - 2 \geqslant 61 \\ = 7x \geqslant 61 + 2 \\ = 7x \geqslant 63 \\ \\ divide \: both \: sides \: \: by \: 7 \\ \frac{7x}{7} \geqslant \frac{63}{7} \\ = x \geqslant 9cm \\ minimum \: length \: of \: shorter \: side = 9cm

THANKS ❤^_^
