➡so by the above statement ,v can state that they provide evidence for evolution.

• Fossils are the remains of dead plants and animals that get trapped and preserved for long periods of time in the layers of the sedimentary rocks.
Example of fossils are the fossils kept at museums of ancient creatures.

• Fossils provide evidence for evolution as the study of these fossils show that at the beginning, there were small organisms which then turned out to become bigger. The features present in the organisms also increased.
