total height = 13.5 m
so, height of cone = 13.5 - 3 m = 10.5 m
C.S.A. of cylinder = 2πrh
=2 * 22/7 * 14 * 3
= 264 m²
C.S.A. of cone = πrl
so, l = √r²+h²
l = √14² + 10.5²
l = 306.25 m
C.S.A. of cone = 22/7 * 14 * 306.25
= 13475 m²
total area to be painted = C.S.A. of cylinder + C.S.A. of cone
= 264 + 13475 m²
= 13739 m²
Total cost of painting at the rate of Rs 3/ m² = Rs 3* 13739
= Rs 41217
