Answers
A) Trophic level in a food chain is the level or step occupied by an organism. There are basically four trophic levels in a food chain first being that of producers, second being the primary consumers, third will be that of the secondary consumers and the last trophic level in a food chain is that of the tertiary consumers.
Food chain with four trophic levels :
PLANT
(producer)
|
GRASSHOPPER
(primary consumer)
|
LIZARD
(secondary consumer)
|
SNAKE
(tertiary consumer)
(B) every trophic level has its importance in the food chain and if we destroy all the organisms in one trophic level then it will disturb the Ecology and the food chain and eradicating that trophic level will contribute to the increase in number of animals which are below the trophic level and decrease in number of the organisms which are above the trophic level because the animals which are above the trophic level are dependent on the trophic level which has been eradicated.
Tropical level is a straps in the food chain were transfer of food or energy take place.
OR
A particular level in a food chain is known as tropical level.
The example show the tropical level in a food chain.
teritary consumers = snake
secondary consumers = frog
primary consumers = grasshopper
producer = grass
