a intersection b complementary is everything except what a and b both have. a complementary is everything a doesn't have these are parts of b that a doesn't have and things in the square, b complementary is everything b doesn't have these are parts of a that b doesn't have and things in the square. Thus a intersection b complementary is equal to a complementary union b complementary.
