Consider the food chain :
Grass → Deer → Lion
What will happen if all the lions are removed from the above food chain ?

consequences ,if lion would disappear from food chain

✴ if lion is disappeard then the population of deers grow unanimously

✴if deers are grown unanimously then all the grass would be eaten up

✴ finally this result in environmental imbalance.

Answer: Removal of lions from the above food chain will increase the number of deer to such an extent that they will eat up the whole grass. The density of producer like grass will be very much reduced and this will turn the area into a desert.
