Answer: 3x+20

Step-by-step explanation:

A large box of apples is emptied into 3 small boxes of apples and still, 20 apples remain.

Let us assume that, Number of Apples in one small box = x

Number of boxes = 3

Therefore, the total number of Apples in all three small boxes = 3x

Remaining Apples(left outside) = 20

Thus, the number of Apples = 3x + 20
