volume of cuboid=1.024 L

1L=1000

 {cm}^{3}

therefore, it's volume=1.024 ×1000 cm^3

=1024 cm^3

let, x be the length of edge of square shaped crosssection.

volume of cuboid=area of cross section×length of

cuboid

volume of cuboid=x^2 × 16cm

1024=x^2 × 16

x^2=1024/16

x^2=64

x=√64

x=8

Hence the length of cross section is 8 cm.
