3) a) (i) The organelle is Chloroplast.

(ii) Part 1 is Thylakoid, Part 2 is Granum (pile of thylakoids), Part 3 is Stroma and Part 4 is Chloroplast envelope.

(iii) Chlorophyll is the pigment found in Part 1 I.e. Thylakoid. Its main role in Photosynthesis is to absorb Light rays from the sun which is then helps to transform water and CO2 into Oxygen and Carbohydrates.

(iv) The phase occurring in part 1 is known as dark reaction or biosynthetic reaction and the phase occurring in part 2 is called as light reaction or photochemical reaction.
