flora refers to plants
fauna refers to animals
tropical evergreen seems to be green whole year i.e. all trees do not shade their leaves altogether while those of tropical deciduous does it twice or thrice a year.

Distinguish between flora and fauna

Flora:

1 The vegetation or plant Kingdom of an area is called flora
2. plants are the primary producers and use sunlight produce carbohydrates.
3. it consists of forests , grasslands ,flowering and nonflowering trees
4. India possesses about 47000 different species of plants.

Fauna:

1. The Animal Kingdom of an area is called Fauna.
2. Animals are consumers and depend on producers for food.
3. These includes Birds fish animals insects e.t.c
4. India possesses about 90000 species of animals in India.



Distinguish between tropical evergreen forest and deciduous forest:

Tropical evergreen forest 

1. These forests are also called Tropical rainforest.
2. These forests do not shed their leaves.
3. These forests are found in areas receiving more than 200 CM of annual rainfall.
4. Ebony, mahogany and Rosewood are typica trees are these forests.

Deciduous forest:

1. These forests are called monsoon forests.
2. These forests shed their leaves during summers.
3. These forests are found in areas receiving an annual rainfall of 70 - 200 CM.
4. Teak , Saal and sandal are important trees of these forests.
