Imagining myself as a teacher this is how I'll explain to a set of new students how to solve two linear inequalities using the graphing method:

  • Goodmorning students, do you all know how to maximize the profit of a product using algebra? Well, today we'll learn about that, our topic for the day is "Two Linear Inequalities using the graphing method".
  • First let us understand what exactly needs to be done. We will be given a system of two inequalities with these symbols \leq ,\geq and<,>.
  • If the system of equations has either \leq or \geq symbols we will plot it using a solid line.
  • If the system of equations has either < or > symbols we will plot is using a dashed line.
  • When the symbols are \geq and > after plotting the line we will shade all the region above it.
  • When the symbols are \leq and < after plotting the line we will shade the region below it.
