The Editor,

The Hindu,

Press Complex, New Delhi

Subject: The careless attitude of people regarding the safety precautions

Respected Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities towards the negligence of residents of Shastri Vihar. People are turning ignorant of the widespread corona virus infection.

Despite many awareness campaigns being run by the government of India, the residents of our colony do not maintain social distancing, forget to put on mask and stroll in markets. The last week witnessed a spike in the number of infected people. If this attitude continues, it will worsen the situation.

So, I want to request the concerned authorities to take stringent actions against such people. They should be charged if they are not following the guidelines issued by the government.

I hope this letter will find a place in your daily.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully

Priti Kumari
