Hello mate !!

Here's your answer

(a) Mendel selected pea plants for conducting his experiments on inheritance because of the following reasons :-

1) Life span :- The life span of Pisum Sativum is too short so results can be easily obtained and in less time.

2) Many Characteristics :- Garden pea ( Pisum Sativum ) has many characteristics which are contrasting to each other.

3) This plant ( garden pea ) is small, easy to grow and can reproduce large number of offsprings.

(b) Second law of Mendelian's inheritance is LAW OF INDEPENDENT ASSORTMENT . It states that inheritance of two or more pair of contrasting characters traits in such a way that one pair of contrasting trait is independent of the other pair of contrasting character.

Hope my answer will help you :))

2. it is very easy and convenient to raise maintain and handle these plant

3. pea flowers are bisexual,

4. the plant show several different and easily detectable contrasting traits.

5.artificial cross pollination or hybridisation possible due to large reproductive organ.

6 a large number of seed produce in a generation which help in drawing authentic conclusion

b) mendel's second law of inheritance states that,

the genes of different characters located in different pair of chromosomes are independent of one another in the segregation during gamete formation if we consider the inheritance of two or more genes at a time then their distribution in the gametes and progeny of a subsequent generation independent each other
