Horizontal distance = 100 m
Let ball is thrown by him with speed U m/s at an angle ∅ with horizontal.
We Know maximum horizontal range at ∅ = 45° .
And maximum Range =u²/g
100 = u²/g
u² = 1000 m
when the ball is thrown upward then maximum height attain by the ball = u^2/2g
Now, maximum height = u²/2g
= 1000 /2× 10
= 50 m
