Answer:

so he had loss of 14.59% Aprox

Given:-

  • cost price if 50 kiligram cereal = 2000
  • spend for cleaning = 400
  • selling price of cereal = 41 per kg

To find:-

  • percentage of gain or loss

Solution:-

fistly ,

we will find

total cost price

cost price= 2000 + 400

= 2400

now total selling price of 50 kg cereal

selling price = 50 x 41

= 2050

now its clealy seems that he had a loss

hence,

we will find loss and loss %

loss \: = cost \: price \: - selling \: price \\ \\ loss = 2400 - 2050 \\ \\ loss \: = 350 \\ \\ as \: we \: all \: know \\ loss\% \: formula \\ \\ loss\% = \frac{loss \: }{cost \: price \: } \times 100 \\ \\ loss\% = \frac{350}{2400} \times 100 \\ \\ loss\% = 14.59\% \: apox

so he had loss of 14.59% Aprox
