In given data the number of times a particular observation occurs is called its frequency.
A table showing The frequencies of various observations of data is called a frequency distribution table or simply a frequency table.
When the number of observations is large we make use of Tally marks to count The frequencies.
Tallies are usually marked in bunches of 5 for ease of counting.
Histogram is a graphical representation of a grouped frequency distribution in exclusive form ( 0-10, 10-20) with continuous classes in the form of rectangles with class intervals as bases and the corresponding frequencies as Heights.
There is no gap between any two consecutive rectangles.
In histogram we draw a kink.
Kink i.e. break is indicated near the origin to signify that a graph is drawn not at the origin.
